Montérégie is a region located in the south of the Province of Quebec in Canada. It is bordered by the St. Lawrence River to the north, Vermont and New Hampshire to the east, the U.S. state of New York to the south, and the regions of Outaouais and Lanaudière to the west. Montérégie has a humid continental climate with four distinct seasons. Summers are warm and humid, with temperatures reaching an average of 24°C (75°F) and occasional heat waves. Winters are cold and snowy, with temperatures reaching an average of -7°C (20°F). Spring and fall are mild and pleasant. Snow cover generally lasts from mid-November to mid-April.
