Yukon–Koyukuk Census Area Weather Today

Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area is a census area in the state of Alaska, USA. The area is located in the northern part of the state, and is the largest in size of all the census areas in Alaska. It is bordered by the Brooks Range to the east, the Yukon River to the south and the Koyukuk River to the west. The climate in Yukon-Koyukuk is continental subarctic, with long, cold winters and short, warm summers. Average temperatures range from -25°F in January to 61°F in July. Average precipitation amounts are low, with most of the area receiving less than 10 inches of precipitation per year.
