Santa Susana is a small unincorporated community in the Simi Hills in Ventura County, California. Located in the Santa Susana Mountains, it is bordered by the cities of Simi Valley to the north and Chatsworth to the south. Santa Susana has a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Temperatures range from the mid-50s to mid-90s in the summer and mid-30s to mid-60s in the winter. Rainfall is sparse, with an average of just 11 inches annually. The area also gets occasional snow during the winter months, usually in January and February.
