Patrick County is located in the south-central region of the US state of Virginia. It is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is bordered by North Carolina to the south, Henry and Franklin Counties to the west, and Carroll, Floyd, and Henry Counties to the east. The county seat is Stuart. Patrick County has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The average daily high temperature ranges from the mid-50s in winter to the mid-80s in summer. The average daily low temperature ranges from the mid-30s in winter to the mid-60s in summer. Rainfall is abundant throughout the year, with the wettest months being April, May, and June. Snowfall is limited and generally occurs between November and March.
